The MOSAIC Center
The Making Our Spaces An Inclusive Community (MOSAIC) Center is a vibrant hub dedicated to challenging the campus to co-create an environment where every individual feels deeply included and authentically valued.
Through cultural celebrations, "courageous conversations," and collaborative initiatives, the center bridges social divides and fosters a foundation of mutual respect. More than just a resource, MOSAIC empowers our community to honor collective differences as strengths, ensuring that every voice is heard and every identity is celebrated.
Programs & Goals
Beyond celebrating identity, the MOSAIC Center drives institutional and social growth through these core activities and goals:
- Address Systemic Inequities: Dismantle barriers by hosting Courageous Conversations on social justice and systemic bias.
- Promote Intentional Inclusion: Move beyond passive diversity to foster a genuine sense of belonging through active student interaction.
- Establish Dedicated Safe Spaces: Provide a physical and intellectual hub where the community is challenged to prioritize equity.
- Bridge Cultural Gaps: Normalize diverse backgrounds by hosting religious and traditional festivities.
- Empower Student Advocacy: Equip individuals with the tools to champion inclusion within their own spheres of influence.
